Asemia (2022-24)
Asemia is an old word for being unable to communicate through language/symbols. I find language too limited for what I want to express and I'm also increasingly dismayed to see people in power manipulating language to spread lies. Always read between the lines folks.
But I see hope in the voices afforded by the empowering and democratic nature of web3.
There will, eventually, be 52 Asemia pieces. Each will be a stand-alone 1/1 and will be digital-native to envelope the gestural within the digital. I will allow myself to experiment within the series so it will act as a kind of diary of my early time in the space.
