Pre-2022 career
My current, post-literate, art practice has been many years in gestation.
In 2011, I began an artist practice focused on language. This distinctive art was created under a different name and has been featured in numerous exhibitions (solo and group). Prior to this, I founded a design agency and worked with large corporate clients for over ten years, specialising in typographic communication.
During the Covid lockdowns, I experienced a lack of faith in the communication business and I began experimenting with non-semantic, post-literate writing. I now concentrate on this new, largely digital, practice under the name altgnon. Feel free to guess where the name came from.
I’d like this new work to be judged separately from my earlier work, so I won’t be revealing the name of my previous career.
